This is one of those songs I rediscover every few years. It just knocks me off my feet again and again.

For all their feigned rage, Nine Inch Nails and Slayer and Rage Against The Machine, et all, can't get close to the pure, subdued anger of this song. (MP3 Link) In 1975, Janis Ian, armed only with an acoustic guitar, came through with the flat-out angriest song I've ever heard. This song takes my breath every time I hear it.
