Also the mental image of Jerry on an ostrich is probably going to crack me up at an inopportune time, like at church or in a meeting I'll think of it and start snickering.
So who would you choose as GL really? John Stewart? That would be my call, probably the JLU influence. Jordan was before my time, Gardner was meant to be a joke, and Rayner just had too much history to fill--felt gimmicky especially since they caved to fans and brought back Jordan.
