Ten Reasons To Love Killswitch Engage
- 10:--Killswitch Engage rules.
- 9:--They ROCK LIKE A MUTHA. Their songs are the heaviest, catchiest, most thoroughly entertaining material recorded by any of the new wave of American heavy metal bands. You can sample audio here and see video here.
- 8:--Their new album, As Daylight Dies, comes out this fall. November 21... a little more than two months away. Two looooong months away.
- 7:--Their songs are always framed by positive, uplifting lyrics. Check out Rise Inside and Declaration... and songs that hint at spiritual (even Christian?) messages, like A Bid Farewell.
- 6:--In spite of how awesomely awesome they are, KSE are still humble enough to tour as the opening act for a band that is far inferior to them; a crappy, lame, sucky band called Avenged Sevenflop.
- 5:--They have a new album coming out in November. NOVEMBER! OF THIS YEAR!
4:--CMJ said this of KSE's amazing sophomore album, Alive Or Just Breathing?: "We warn you now: this album is more addictive than crack cocaine that's been smothered in caffeine and nicotine and drenched with chocolate." If you ask me, the music reviewer was holding back with his praise.- 3:--The band is made up of a bunch of unabashed dorks. Their lead guitarist runs around on stage in a cape. I'm sure he's been wearing it since he was seven.
- 2:--When their first vocalist (Jesse Leach) decided to go in another direction with his life after KSE's second album, he departed on friendly terms and remains close with the band. The band replaced him with the outstanding Howard Jones (an even better vocalist), and Jesse provided background vocals on The End Of Heartache, KSE's first album with Jones. Imagine that, a rock band that has a major line-up change and everybody involved is still friendly with everyone else. (Yeah, I'm talking to you, Eddie Van Halen.)
- 1:--KSE's new album will be out IN NOVEMBER! Yeah, I'm a little stoked.
