Remember how much controversy surrounded United 93...which ended up being an excellent and non-controversial film?

Well I always assumed this one would receive much more bite that United 93 did...but it's as though Greengrass' United 93 opened up the field and I feel like far more people are willing and interested in Stone's film...my own interest is growing as well.

I have to admit it looks good. I also think it will be hard to watch. Watching it that day on the news was a nightmare I never want to see ever again in real life. I know people who saw it happen, people who survived, and people who lost loved ones that day only to put up "missing" signs and web sites in a desperate search, and many of these people were never recovered, pulverized by the heat and pressure. It's way too soon to capitalize and make a dramatization, yet maybe we do need to be reminded as we've started to get comfortable and feel safe, and those of us who only know people who lost people and didn't lose people our selves, can start to forget.

It's going to be hard to watch, but I may have to, just not on the big screen. Maybe it will be a respectful account and an historical documentation.
