New Filmgeeks Contest Thing: Name The Film Of The Week
07-09-05 Thanks to everyone who registered guesses, the answers are now below the stills.
After the eyes contest Wendy did a few days ago (which was an idea we stole from The Dawn of Man) I had another idea for another potentially fun contest we could do at the blog. Maybe, weekly.
I’ll post a still from a random movie from our DVD collection. A totally random still from some random part of the film. You get to guess the movie.
Pretty simple. If we get any amount of participation, we’ll do a “Movie of the Week” guessing game kinda thing.
Just to get a feel for the way it’s going to work and the kind of feedback we’ll get, we’re going to start out with a big first round... four stills from four different films. Some will be fairly obvious, some more obscure. We didn't even pick the movies for this first round, we had the kids grab DVDs randomly from the shelf, and those are the ones we used.

Honestly, I'm really good at this kind of thing as a rule, but I couldn't recognize one! I'm deflated and chastise-worthy, but keen to see if other people can guess the films---or is it just you film-geeks?
I'd love to play! It sounds like fun, but the images aren't loading for me...just getting red X's.....=( DarWen.Us seems to be down right now. I'll be back...I'll amuse myself here in the meantime, but I suspect yours will be more fun/challenging...
Holy cow, I can't guess any of them either! (I can see the pictures no problem, just can't get what they're from.)
BTW, have you ever played Scene It? It's a very fun movie game. It comes with a DVD and there are different challenges, like guess the actor from their high school year book, guess the movie by the ending credits, guess by a scene from the movie with the actors removed ... etc.
