Checking Up On David Fincher
David Fincher is a great director. Se7en, Fight Club and Panic Room are all outstanding films. However, since Panic Room came out in 2002, he's been MIA.
He's back.
Right now he's doing pre-production for Zodiac, a movie about the serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in the '70's. The Zodiac Killer was never caught, and if Fincher's track record is any indication, the movie ought to be worth the wait. The cast, including Gary Oldman, Robert Downey Jr., Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo, certainly is promising.
