  Another "Name The Movie" Still

Maybe we're just making it all too easy. When you start doing a contest like this, the natural inclination is to pick shots from your favorite movies... and, the problem with that is that this blog attracts big ol' geeks like us, so most of you guys have a lot of the same favorite movies that we do. And that means that some folks (read: "and that means that MCF") end up making short work of the contest.

This time we've tried to mix it up a bit... this is another movie that, we're sure, geeks like us have seen and love. However, we tried to grab a really odd still from it.

Have at it. We'll just leave it up until someone guesses it (read: "until MCF guesses it.").

Can You Name This Movie?

Once someone guesses it correctly, we'll reveal the answer in a comment.... maybe in transparent text that you have to highlight to read, if we can make that work... so keep that in mind!

Comments:
I haven't a clue- but it's an interesting idea to do this. Do one that I know so I can win! BTW, what's the prize? A DVD copy of the movie? A DVD player? Both? One of Wendy's used lip balm containers autographed by her?

This would be American Werewolf in London. I believe shortly before the police stop on by.

Man, the original Naked Gun was AWESOME! I just LOVE this scene! "Caught in the wheels of a combine--that's the way I wanna go!" Plus it was the good old days before OJ was (maybe) a killer. Oh, that Nordberg!

Strange that Leslie Nielsen looks so different than I remember in your pic, but I'm never wrong. Sorry to ruin another contest with my 100% certainty. ;-D

I don't recall this scene at all. MCF, I don't think that is Leslie Nielsen. It looks nothing like him. Are you sure that is the movie? American Werewolf is a good choice. Funny how both people believe they are right. Good movie clip Darrell.

Now I'm overcome with curiousity hoping someone is right so I can find out!

MCF, believe it or not, and I know this will come as a greeeeeaaaat surprise, it's not Naked Gun.

We'll reveal the answer in the morning (Thursday morning) in case anyone wants to log another guess overnight.

Spy Hard, then? Dracula Dead and Loving it? OO, I know! Wrongfully Accused.

Stumped? Not me....
O_o

We tried to post the answer in a white font so that it would have to be highlighted to be read... but blogger won't let us do that. Stupid blogger!

Anyway, Nehring got it EXACTLY right. The movie is American Werewolf In London.

MCF, of course, knew it from the get go. Thanks for playing along, Cloaked.

Thanks to everyone who participated. We'll post another one in the next day or two.

Maybe we'll pick one of Wendy's froufy Merchant Ivory movies. That oughta stump 'em.

....unless for anything we're unsure of we just put "Froufy Merchant Ivory" as our guess....

Just read back to before I left on holiday and can't wait to rent A Perfect World. Thanks for confirming my instincts about the FF. I always thought I was a movie geek, but I wouldn't dare to kiss the hems of your geeky cloaks---got none, not even close. Maybe that's because I'm more into froufy movies.

I now know the answer from reading the comments, but I would have guessed High Anxiety. I would have been wrong, but that would have been my feeble attempt.

I recognize the doctor from "An American Werewolf In London."

Is the top prize still a rusty Buick? If so, never mind.

American Werewolf in London. You can't fool me all the time!
